Biography:

Dr. ZeQing Chen is a saxophone instructor at Xi’an Conservatory of Music. He holds a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music in the United States and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance from Siberian State Institute of Arts in Russia. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Musicology at Boston University.

Dr. Chen serves as a Council Member of the Saxophone Committee of the China Popular Music Association, a Council Member of the Cultural and Arts Troupe of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League, and a member of the Arts Committee of the Xi’an Western Returned Scholars Association. His competition honors include first prize in the Grand Final of the Asian Youth Music Competition, the Eastern Division of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Wind Instrument Competition, and the Grand Final of the National “New Talent” Competition. He has frequently performed solo and ensemble recitals in China and internationally, and has been invited to tour with the New York Symphony Orchestra, perform as a soloist with the Arizona Symphony Orchestra, and tour with the China School of Music Symphony Orchestra.

艺术家简介

陈则磬博士现任西安音乐学院萨克斯管教师。他获美国曼哈顿音乐学院音乐硕士学位、俄罗斯西伯利亚国立艺术学院演奏博士学位，目前正在美国波士顿大学攻读音乐学博士学位。

陈博士担任中国大众音乐协会萨克斯管委员会理事、民盟陕西省委文化艺术团理事，并任西安欧美同学会艺术委员会委员。他曾荣获亚洲青少年音乐比赛总决赛第一名、美国音乐教师全国协会（MTNA）管乐比赛东部赛区第一名，以及全国“推新人”比赛总决赛第一名。他多次在中国及海外举办独奏和重奏音乐会，并曾受邀参加纽约交响乐团巡演、以独奏家身份与美国亚利桑那交响乐团演出，以及随中国乐派交响乐团巡演。
