The Eugene Rousseau Foundation has announced the inaugural Eugene Rousseau International Saxophone Competition, which will take place in August 2027 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Designed for elite saxophonists under the age of 30, the competition will be the first international saxophone competition held in the United States. The event will honor the legacy of Dr. Eugene Rousseau while promoting artistic excellence, supporting emerging talent, and advancing the role of the saxophone in contemporary performance.
By bringing together outstanding young saxophonists from around the world, the competition aims to encourage cultural exchange, professional development, and a shared commitment to the highest standards of musicianship.
