JodyJazz Inc., owners of Rousseau mouthpieces, is proud to announce the release of the Rousseau 3.0 Classic RC Series, an all-new family of classical saxophone mouthpieces that represents a significant evolution in the storied Rousseau line. Designed by JodyJazz founder and President Jody Espina, the Classic RC Series introduces a fresh tonal profile to Rousseau mouthpieces while honoring the legacy of Dr. Eugene Rousseau.
Crafted entirely from start to finish in the JodyJazz factory, the new Classic RC Series includes models for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone saxophones, each offered in the popular RC3 tip opening. This new series expands the recently revamped Rousseau 3.0 lineup and introduces a new sound profile never offered previously in the Rousseau range.
“Our goal with the Classic RC Series was to create a mouthpiece that feels unmistakably Rousseau, yet expands the tonal palette available to classical players,” said Jody Espina, designer of the series. “With its round chamber and carefully balanced resistance, the Classic RC delivers a warm, centered sound with exceptional control. We’re excited to offer this new voice for Classical saxophonists”
The Rousseau 3.0 Classic RC Series is the first Rousseau mouthpiece line to feature a round chamber, creating a uniquely dark, warm, and resonant tonal character. Offering medium resistance for enhanced control, the RC Series is engineered to meet the demands of today’s classical saxophonists who seek both richness and ease of expression.
Inspired by the 2018 Chedeville RC Series saxophone mouthpiece design by Jody Espina, the Classic RC Series brings that same refined classical concept to the Rousseau brand, resulting in the darkest and warmest-sounding Rousseau mouthpieces ever produced.
Rousseau Mouthpieces, founded by legendary classical saxophonist Dr. Eugene Rousseau, are known globally for their precision and refined tonal design. Under JodyJazz Inc., the Rousseau brand continues to evolve through state-of-the-art manufacturing and innovative acoustic development, always with deep respect for Dr. Rousseau’s artistic legacy.
